NTFI Mobile GIS Mapping Units

Designed to function as a self-contained mapping lab, NTFI Mobile Mapping Units are designed to accomodate 3-6 Mapping Specialists. Fully self-contained, and air-conditioned, they have storage space sufficient to support longer missions in remote areas, and arrive fully stocked with materials to operate independently for 5 operational periods.

In addition to providing onsite disaster support, NTFI mobile GIS units are also available with field-ready mapping specialists for onsite mapping and logistical support during large highway and infrastructure repair projects.

All GIS units are staffed with experienced Incident GIS professionals, and rental price includes the GIS tech for a 12 hour shift. All NTFI lead GIS techs are NWCG Qualified Geographic Infomation System Specialists (GISS). Additional GIS mapping specialists are available upon request. All NTFI Lead GIS Techs are proficient in the new FIMT Fire Incident Mapping Tools

You can order our GIS trailers thru rental agreements on the Plumas and Malheur National Forests, and thru a CDF contract at the CDF Grass Valley Dispatch Center. Additional GIS mapping specialists are available upon request.
